The Shepherd’s Center of Webster-Kirkwood has been helping older adults lead independent, fulfilling lives, since 1998. They have an increased need of volunteers for two services to meet current challenges:
FIRST: They need drivers to take seniors to medical appointments. Those who use this service must be ambulatory (no wheelchairs) and age 55 or older.
SECOND: Shepherd’s Center needs volunteers to purchase groceries and deliver them to homebound clients aged 55 and older. The client pays for the items, and volunteers offer this service when they shop for themselves.
To take part, volunteers need to complete an application and online background check and attend one orientation meeting
