For many years, volunteers from Kirkwood UCC have helped build homes through Habitat for Humanity Saint Louis. All who give to Kirkwood UCC support Habitat for Humanity St. Louis financially, and many contribute physically, digging into construction work on projects to provide safe, affordable homes for our community. HFHSL partner families are low to moderate income, at approximately 25-50% of the St. Louis median. Future owners work side by side with Habitat volunteers, supervised by Habitat’s professional craftsmen, to build or renovate a home where they can begin new lives. HFHSL receives less than 5% of its total budget from national dollars. Funds raised locally build homes locally.
