Our Faith Formation class is designed for 7th-9th graders as an opportunity to explore their understanding and belief in God, Jesus, their faith and the mission of the Church. Currently KUCC is partnering with another UCC congregation, Peace UCC in Webster Groves, to offer this class twice a month on Sundays from 11:30 am - 1 pm. Questioning and wondering are not only allowed but encouraged. The purpose is to create a safe container in which teens are able to discern with peers not only their faith, but their concept of what it means to be “church.” The classes begin in the fall and conclude in the spring. Often at the conclusion of the class participants choose to join their congregation in full membership, but this is not a requirement for involvement in the class.
