2011 Highlights
January
Shoeman Water Project – KUCC Collected 470 pairs of gently used shoes.
March & April
Immanuel Lutheran Church Easter Adopt-an-Egg: KUCC Members “adopted” individual children that Immanuel serves & purchased Easter outfits for them.
May
Every Child’s Hope Collection – Collected furniture and gently used household items for young people transitioning from ECH to their own apartment.
July
MoVal Sunday-special presentation to congregation by youth & adults who had fond memories of their time at this UCC camp. Special offering collected.
October
Little Dresses for Africa-members and friends of KUCC made pillowcase dresses to send to this organization, which then sent them on to little girls in several countries around the world. 55 dresses were made.
November
Participated in the United Church of Christ’s Mission: 1 Letters mailed to state representatives expressing concern for world hunger: 25 – 30. Neighbors in Need donation total: $411.11; Food items donated & delivered to Kirk Care: 408.
Adopt-A-Family – donations of gifts and food to families at St. John’s Community Ministry.
December
Kirk Care Christmas Distribution: 3-4 volunteers from KUCC went to the pantry & helped distribute food.
Christmas Eve Offering collected – designated for Our Church’s Wider Mission
Christmas Fund Offering collected—designated for Veterans of the Cross.
2012 Highlights
January
51 blankets and a bag of draft stoppers were either donated or made by members & friends of our congregation. The items were delivered to Bethany Peace UCC in north St. Louis County.
