What is a Global Mission Church?
A congregation is designated a “Global Mission Church” by the United Church of Christ/ Global Ministries if it is a church that:
- Prays regularly for partners, missionaries and the world.
- Educates its members (from preschool to adult) about global issues.
- Seeks Justice for the “least of these” in the international community.
- Receives the gifts of the global church.
- Gives to the work of global mission.
- Sends its members into the world to share the Good News of Jesus.
- Grows in sharing the story of God’s mission with others.
Five Steps to Becoming a Global Mission Church
- Gather a team to coordinate the Be a Global Mission Church process.
- Learn about the UCC global mission heritage and current mission strategy.
- Evaluate your current global mission involvement.
- Create a plan of global mission involvement.
- Commit to a plan of action.

Supporting a KUCC member’s mission trip to Tanzania
