Kirkwood United Church of Christ

An Open and Affirming Congregation

Kirkwood United Church of Christ supports the national and international outreach programs of the United Church of Christ. In addition, we participate in local outreach programs, supplying hands-on volunteers, as well as material and financial aid.

As a church in an active community, we regularly make our facilities available to non-profit groups such as Alanon, SLAA, COSA, and the MOMS' Club®.

Specific current outreach programs include:

Breakfast Program – On the 3rd Sunday of every month, members and friends of KUCC provide and serve breakfast to individuals at Immanuel Lutheran Church in North St. Louis.

Neighborhood Houses – KUCC supports the Neighborhood Houses in a variety of ways.  In the past a Baby Shower/Tea Party and a Fashion Show have been given to benefit the infant program.  Annually financial resources are provided to the Neighborhood Houses.

Adopt A Family – Members of KUCC provide Christmas presents for a needy family.

New Orleans Trip – KUCC partners with other west county UCC churches on a fall trip to New Orleans.  This group of people works on rebuilding houses damaged in the Katrina Hurricane.

Habitat for Humanity – In addition to providing financial resources, members of KUCC work on the UCC Habitat for Humanity houses.

Supporting the Troops – KUCC members sent several boxes full of items needed to the soldiers in Iraq.

Kirk Care – Food and financial resources are provided to Kirk Care which supports needy families in the Kirkwood School District. Members of KUCC serve on the Kirk Care Board and provide hands on assistance at Christmas.

Evangelical Children’s Home – members of KUCC provided household items and furniture that could be used in apartments.

In addition to these activities, KUCC financial supports the following:
